Charlotte and Anthony’s Fun and Rustic Barn Wedding at Park House Barn, Cumbria
I was lucky enough to be introduced to Charlotte and Anthony through a friend of a friend recommendation. This is such a lovely way to be introduced to couples as it already feels like you have a connection through your mutual friends. I did not get to meet Charlotte and Anthony before their big day, but through our conversations and emails I was able to get a feeling of the type of wedding they were planning.
I seem to attract very laid back and relaxed couples, which I am by no means upset by. Your vibe attracts your tribe, and it felt like Charlotte and Anthony were just the right people for me to photograph. They had talked about the fact that they were having a BBQ wedding breakfast [amazing] and how they were going to set up a beer pong table for entertainment as well as a ceilidh band in the evening.
As the day drew closer and closer we all realised that their dream wedding of long summer evenings having couples pictures in the wheat field was about to change. I wanted to make sure that Charlotte and Anthony were feeling okay and when I spoke to them they could not have been more chilled. Charlotte remarked that she had sourced some rainbow umbrellas so that we could have some photographs of the two of them outside and they were going to embrace the rain; and embrace it they did! They got hitched in the beautiful rustic setting of Park House Barn in the south lakes, decorated with hundreds of fairy lights.
Charlotte wore a stunning Anna Campbell dress from Jean Jackson Couture, with her bridesmaids in beautiful sequinned maxi dresses from Needle and Thread. They had a cheese wheel wedding cake, along with BBQ wedding breakfast and wood fired pizza in the evening. Their table decorations, place names and seating charts were all made by the couple to add a lovely DIY edge to the decorations in the barn. After some side splitting speeches Charlotte and Anthony’s guests embraced the evenings entertainment of the ceilidh band and danced the night away. Please enjoy looking through the pictures in this gorgeous rustic setting, in the safe knowledge that if it rains on your wedding day, you can guarantee you will still have a fantastic time.
